L’EFSA ha aggiornato la propria valutazione della sicurezza dell’additivo alimentare biossido di titanio (E 171) a seguito di una richiesta della Commissione europea del marzo 2020. 

La nuova valutazione ha rivisto i risultati della precedente valutazione dell’EFSA pubblicata nel 2016, che aveva evidenziato la necessità di ulteriori ricerche per colmare alcune lacune nei dati.
